And besides all the widespread robbery, thieving, corrupt dealings in business and government and religion that goes on? When the crime robs the victim of their bodily integrity, when the victim has no knowledge, framework or power of any kind to either retaliate or seek help on their own, it becomes so heinous that mere separation from society is not enough, and death is not a sufficient punishment.
